What's under the hood

Segmentation
Subject matte
A high-recall segmentation pass isolates the subject from the scene and builds a soft alpha matte — the foundation every output mode is composited from. Subject hints tighten the mask on ambiguous edges.

Edge-aware fill
For solid and AI-scene modes, the inverted matte feeds an inpainting pass on dual RTX 5090s. The subject is locked while the background is regenerated or filled — no halo, no fringe, no leftover edge pixels.
Alpha matting
Hair / fur refine
An optional fine-detail pass recovers individual strands of hair and fur and feathers semi-transparent edges like glass and motion blur — the difference between a sticker cutout and a studio composite.

How it actually works

Upload

Your image is read in-browser and pushed to the local render node. Nothing touches a third-party API or leaves our infrastructure.

Segment

The segmentation model builds a soft alpha matte of the subject. Your subject hint tightens the mask on hair, fur, chrome, and glass edges.

Composite

Transparent keeps the matte as-is. Solid drops a color behind it. AI scene inverts the mask and inpaints a fresh background with edge-aware lighting on the 5090s.
