The 20 repos exploding on GitHub
this week — and why.

Ranked by GitHub's own trending signal — star velocity and acceleration, not raw totals. Each card tells you in plain English why it's blowing up: a brand-new breakout, a fast riser, or a heavyweight surging on a fresh release. This is where you see what's catching fire before it's on everyone's feed.

How the ranking works: GitHub ranks trending by star velocity and acceleration — how fast a repo is gaining and how fast that rate is rising — not by total size. That's why a small project can outrank a giant, and why #1 may show fewer weekly stars than #2. The big green number is net new stars in its window. We list this week's risers first; when GitHub's weekly list runs short, we top up with the biggest 30-day risers (tagged on each card). Every project is open-source and links to its own repo and license — pulled live from GitHub each hour. We aggregate and credit, never rebrand.
